The BA Theatre Arts Program offers three scholarships for lower and upper division students. |

The BEATRICE RICE SCHOLARSHIP is awarded annually to a theatre major or minor that demonstrates both financial need and service to the Theatre Program. To apply for this scholarship, a student must file a FASFA, as well as complete the Cal Poly Scholarship application form available from the Financial Aid Office. The scholarship recipient is announced in the Spring Quarter. |
The J. MURRAY SMITH SCHOLARSHIP was funded by the Theatre Program's friends and alumni organization (FANS) in 2005. The following stipulations apply:
1) The scholarship is open to all Cal Poly Theatre Program majors/active participants.
2) Recipient must have a Cal Poly cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
3) Recipient must have lower division status (i.e., completed less than 90 quarter units).
4) The scholarship is not based upon financial need.

The KATHLEEN FISHER SCHOLARSHIP was funded by the Theatre Program's friends and alumni organization (FANS) in 1998. The following stipulations apply:
1) The scholarship is open to all Cal Poly Theatre Program majors/active participants.
2) Recipient must have a Cal Poly cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3) Recipient must have upper division status (i.e., completed at least 90 quarter units).
4) Recipient must be a senior student (i.e., completed over 135 quarter units). The recipient must be registered at least one quarter in the next academic year. Students graduating during the same quarter when the scholarship is awarded are not eligible.
5) The scholarship is not based upon financial need.
